About Dr. Taren L. Cardona

Dr. Taren Cardona, DPM

Dr. Cardona completed her podiatric surgical residency at West Houston Medical Center with Dr. Sam Mendicino and Dr. Asia Lo in 2012. She joined private practice with Dr. Brian Zale in the Richmond / Rosenberg / Sugar Land in July 2012, where she worked for 5 years. In 2017, Dr. Cardona made the transition to Clear Lake Foot and Ankle.

She enjoys treating a variety of podiatric conditions including dermatologic conditions (athlete’s foot, fungal nails, dermatitis, warts, ulcers, corns, and callouses) to the more mechanical foot problems like hammertoes, heel pain, bunions, and joint instability / ankle weakness.

Dr. Cardona achieved her board certification by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in 2017, she is now a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

When she is not at the office, Dr. Cardona enjoys time with her husband and two children. She enjoys running and has completed several 5Ks and a half marathon.

 One of the guiding principles at Clear Lake Foot and Ankle is balance - we strive to promote a healthy work / life balance for staff and promote this with our patients by getting you back on your feet as soon as possible after a procedure or injury so that you can enjoy your life to the fullest. Dr. Cardona sees patients in the office Monday to Friday.

Patti Maryan

You may see me or talk to me occasionally as I work in the back office with billing. My work background includes over 30 years in the chemical industry with a variety of responsibilities. I love the small practice atmosphere and working with the team at Clear Lake Foot and Ankle!



Noemi Banda

I oversee the office operations. You will see me in both the front and back office. I am happy to answer any questions, help resolve any concerns, make your visit positive with the assurance that all your patient needs where met during your visit.

As a young adult helping assist with my grandfather’s care I developed a strong sense for the medical field. I have 22 years of medical experience. I started as a medical receptionist and as I worked my way up I had the opportunity to gain experience in many medical departments and specialties.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, some fresh outdoors, and find art/creative decor designing to be relaxing.

I have been blessed to be part of the clear lake foot & ankle team. I love interacting with our patients and really appreciate the attentive care Dr. Cardona and our team strive to provide as individuals and collectively to each patient.

Nancy Rodriguez

I started working with Clear Lake Foot & Ankle in January 2020. You will see me working in the back office taking the patient history, discussing your foot and ankle condition and taking x rays. I am a certified podiatry radiology technician. I enjoy working with patients, watching the progress they make with treatments, and helping people meet their treatment goals. I specialize in fitting patients with medical devices including CAM walker boots and Ankle Braces. I am knowledgeable in specialty medications often recommended by Dr. Cardona. In my free time I enjoy taking care of my family, taking trips, concerts, sporting events, and enjoying life. Before working with CLFAS, I had a career in Accounts Receivable at Oak Farms Dairy. It has been a fun transition from working behind a desk to being part of a busy podiatry practice. With my previous experience in customer service and sales, I am comfortable assisting patients with any questions about the products prescribed from the office and how to properly use the medication and devices recommended.
